Fernando Iwasaki (Lima, Peru, 1961) is a narrator, essayist and literary critic. He has published novels such as Libro de mal amor and Neguijón and books such as rePUBLICANOS, awarded the Premio Algaba de Ensayo in 2008; Sevilla, sin mapa or Una declaración de humor, Premio Bodegas Olarra & Café Bretón in 2011. His work has been translated into several languages. He is also one of the bestselling authors of short stories in Spanish and has been unanimously acclaimed as one of the masters of this genre. Noteworthy among his books of short stories are Un milagro informal, Ajuar funerario, Helarte de amar or España, aparta de mí estos premios. In 2012 Papel Carbón was published, which brought together his first two books of short stories.
